World’s Tallest Wooden Wind Turbine: Modvion, a Swedish startup, has successfully erected the tallest wooden wind turbine tower globally, providing power to 400 homes within Sweden. Situated outside Skara, northeast of Gothenburg, this towering structure boasts a capacity of 2 megawatts (MW) and was commissioned by Varberg Energi, a local electricity provider.

Recently integrated into Sweden’s national grid, this monumental turbine stands at 105 meters in height, soaring to 150 meters when accounting for the blade’s apex.

Crafted with meticulous engineering, its robust construction entails 144 layers of wood intricately bonded using an innovative multi-layer veneer technique.
